Horw (Swiss-German: Horb) is a municipality in the district of Lucerne in the canton of Lucerne in Switzerland.
Horw has an area of 12.8 square kilometers (4.9 sq mi). Of this area, 32.6% is used for agricultural purposes, while 42.5% is forested. Grimentz lies at an altitude of 1570 meters in the Valaisian Val d’Anniviers. It is a veritable picture-book village, famous for its granaries, which have been nearly burnt black by the sun and the innumerable fiery red geraniums in the window boxes.
